SEATTLE, WA, July 29, 2026. Origin Technology, the endpoint AI observability company for AI-adopting organizations, today announced that Birgit Troy has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Troy joins at a pivotal moment for Origin, tasked with scaling the company's operations to keep pace with accelerating enterprise demand for endpoint AI observability.

"We built Origin because the agent workforce was scaling faster than any organization's ability to see what it was doing," said Spencer Thompson, CEO of Origin. "That gap is only going to widen, and meeting that demand means scaling Origin itself with the same discipline we ask of the systems we observe. Birgit has done exactly that at every company she's joined, and having her lead our operations as we grow is a huge unlock for us."

Troy brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling finance and operations functions at technology companies, from early-stage startups through public-market growth and successful exits. She has repeatedly stepped into high-growth companies to build the operational infrastructure needed to sustain rapid expansion, and she joins Origin to do the same as the company grows its footprint across the enterprise.

"Origin is at an inflection point, and my focus is on building the operational foundation that lets the company scale without losing speed," said Troy. "I've spent my career helping high-growth technology companies professionalize and expand as demand accelerates, and I'm excited to bring that experience to Origin as we grow the business into its next chapter."

Most recently, Troy served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Canalyst Financial Modeling Corp., where she led finance and operations as the company scaled to serve institutional investment firms globally, through its eventual acquisition by Tegus, Inc. Before Canalyst, she was Portfolio CFO at Lumine Group (formerly a division of Constellation Software CSU.TO, now LMN.V), where she led M&A efforts to acquire, integrate, and grow 16 global vertical-market software businesses.

About Origin

Origin Technology builds the endpoint AI observability platform for the AI agent workforce. The agents that enterprises deploy write code, touch files, call APIs, and spend budget. Origin runs on the endpoint itself, giving leaders across security, engineering, and finance a single view of what their agents are doing and what that work costs. Origin was built by endpoint and security veterans from Elastic, SpecterOps, Tanium, and Microsoft, and is backed by Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, and Brightmind Partners.
